To date: The Sabbats that occur at the White Stag Covenstead are open by invitation. They are a great opportunity for those curious about the practices of the Black Forest Clan and the members of
White Stag.

The responsibilities of ritual running rotate through the faculty and the higher initiated students of the White Stag Seminary. They reflect some of the practices of the BFC at large and also ( largely) the research and explorations which occur within the training of the Seminary. All rituals are based upon the beliefs of the Celtic or Germanic/Norse traditions. The flavor and themes vary according to who is mistress or master of circle that evening.

All attending must participate. Attendees are either guided prior or during ritual as to what chants are used or actions taken- all ceremonies are designed so that the are approachable by those never having attended White Stag rituals before. Those attending are encouraged to bring a dish to pass for the post Sabbat feast and a small donation to help cover our costs for holding the events.

Sabbats are family and child friendly, provided that they are respectful of the event they are attending, children are well behaved and have some exposure to ritual. If one of your party is disruptive, you are responsible to remove them from the ritual (if a child) or the premises (if an adult). It is advisable to make contact in advance for bringing an extra guest and to inquire to the nature of the ritual if you have concerns- we frequently make use of guided visualization, meditation and trance and oracular work during these rituals.

Invitations may be procurred through expressing a sincere interest to a member of the Seminary faculty via email and other events. Do not be offended if the invitation is not offered outright, we take our time in getting to know the person beforehand. It is within the faculty's rights to withdraw invitation or deny it without explanation. We consider the Covenstead our home and protect it as such.
